Drake So Far Gone release date announced: 2/12/09

Days ago, Toronto-born rapper Drake announced that his next mixtape, So Far Gone, will be released this Thursday, February 12. Up until now Drake has displayed his skills on two mixtapes: Comeback Season (2007) and Heartbreak Drake (2008). For those of us familiar with Drizzy, this newest release is highly anticipated. Drake's flow contains a level of maturity, raw intensity and sophistication that is virtually nonexistent in most MCs in today's hip hop game.

It's been a long time (aside from Lupe) since I've felt this enthusiastic about an up-and-coming hip hop artist. I can't wait to hear this album and see how it measures up to the hype. I've already checked out "Ignorant Shit" (link below) which will be featured on the album, and if that joint is indicative of So Far Gone's quality, it will be FIRE. For now we will have to wait and see...
